This is a new form of coating that is exclusively available through WCIS and has quite a few positives against standard metal spraying.

NANO Coatings are a Nanostructured titanium dioxide thermal spray coating. This is a proprietary process based around a patented material. The 'thermal spray coating process' is by far the most versatile modern surfacing method with regard to economics, range of materials and scope of applications.

Some positives about the NANO coatings are

• The ultimate in wear and corrosion resistance
• 2x bond strengh
• 4x wear resistance
• Remarkable toughness
• Very ductile
• Can be coated to nearly any metallic substrate
• No bonding adhesive is required, the NANO embeds into the substrate material
• The NANO achieves hardness in the range of 1100HVO.3 (68HRc)
• It's density (<1% porosity) is one factor in preventing substrate/ coating interface corrosion
• This is a 'one of a kind' process

One area in the Mining industry that we are currently introducing this coating to is shaft sleeves. We believe that the NANO coated shaft sleeves expected service life is 3 to 4 times that of other ceramic/ tungsten coated shaft sleeves currently in use in the market place.
