MECHANICAL SEALS

Why Use Mechanical Seals?

Mechanical seals are used in place of packing on rotating equipment, particularly in applications where leakage is not tolerable or where constant wear means packing maintenance absorbs valuable resources and interrupts process availability.

Another key benefit of using mechanical seals is water saving.  In this environmentally conscious age, mechanical seals reduce or eliminate the need for gland water injection in the process.

Mechanical seals can be employed in most rotating equipment applications, from swimming pool pumps to the largest mining slurry pumps!
