RING TYPE JOINTS

Ring Type Joints can be used in many applications in the mining and petroleum industry where high temperature and pressures can be found. They are manufactured in accordance to both API16A and ASMEB16.20 standards, with Style R being the most common.

Style BX
Style BX can be used on pressure systems up to 20000psi, which is in accordance to API16A standards. It also incorporates a pressure balance hole, to equalise any pressure trapped in the groove.

Cross Section and Tolerance Information

Style R

Style R ring type joint was initially developed for high pressure/Temp applications found in the petroleum industry and is primarily used in the oil field on drilling and completion equipment.

Cross Section and Tolerance Information

Style RX

Style RX has been adapted from Style R, but energises on assembly. It can be used in most style R grooves.
